Ako is happy for Ruka's engagement but it reminds her of her own engagement all those years ago to Tatsuya. She starts to sink into a deep depression thinking about him and missing him. Even being on the set of her new musical reminds her of him. When a new supporting actor lets her in on a lounge for ghosts Ako is all in!! She starts hanging out in Ravenwood every night hoping for a glimpse of Tatsuya.
She doesn't have to wait long! On her third night at the lounge Tatsuya's ghost finally appears! Ako is overjoyed. She tells him about Ruka's engagement, Asa's love of cooking, Jimin's scouts achievements and how Taeyang has started school. Tatsuya tells her that he knows. He has been around some. He assures her that life on the other side isn't so bad and that when it's her time, he will be here waiting for her just as he was there in life. Ako feels comforted by the idea of eternity with Tatsuya someday!
She stops going to the lounge and throws herself into her final role in a musical called Right as Rain.
Her whole family attends the Starlight Accolades to watch her retire and accept her lifetime achievement award. It's a joyous moment for all of them.
Asa graduates university with a Distinguished Degree in Culinary Arts. She receives an offer to be a food critic but decides instead to start work as a Sous Chef for a local restaurant in San Sequioa. Things aren't going as well for Ruka. She can choose to repeat the class and get her degree or to withdraw from school one credit short of her Biology diploma. She thinks about it for awhile.
Jihoon is still in Mt Komorebi working and Ruka wants so badly to join him and get married. Another semester of school means another semester away from him. She knows in the long run that six months will not make a big difference, after all they've made it a year already apart, but Ruka also realizes that a career in marine biology means a move to Sulani. Jihoon is already established in Mt. Komorebi and ultimately, she may have to change her goals anyway. She decides to take a position as a starter for a Komorebi soccer team and drops out of school. She can always finish up that pesky credit later! She and Jihoon are married in San Myshuno in a beautiful ceremony. Asa even makes them a gourmet cake!
Following their wedding and Ruka's move to Mt Komorebi, Asa gets her own happy ending when Cian proposes to her! But like Ruka, this means relocating away from her family. Cian lives in Henford-on-Bagley and he's already an established musician and writer there. Asa gets to work applying for jobs as a chef there. She's excited at the prospect of new flavours and ingredients and also...her own FAMILY. For once everything seems to be going well for everyone. But will the good times last...?
