Lightning never strikes twice...but aliens do!

 

It's time for prom!! Ruka has been spending so much time with her studies and cheer that she has forgotten all about a date but Asa suggests they go as a group with friends. Before prom they get all their friends together to hang out at the local pier and celebrate.

At the prom, Asa spends her time convincing everyone to vote for Ruka as queen and it works! With Asa's help and Ruka's popularity as cheer captain, she walks away with the crown! What a senior prom!!

They spend After Prom at the amusement park near the school and spend hours riding the ferris wheel, drinking boba teas, and eating more corn dogs than feels humanly possible! On the walk home it starts to hit them that next year Asa will be doing it all on her own and Ruka will be working or at university.

They reminisce on their high school years and their childhood together and how wonderful it's been growing up as best friends. Through teary eyes they make a promise to be best friends FOREVER AND EVER!

Things are not going as well for Ako. She arrives to work on a new film about aliens in the wild west when a mysterious illness begins to spread around set. Within minutes people are dropping DEAD.

Despite the make-up artist, costume designer, producer, AND cameraman dropping literally dead on set, the director expects Ako to continue with the show!!

As she's finishing up her last lines the Grim Reaper heads her way. Ako is TERRIFIED!!! She makes an awkward joke and luckily, he moves along. Ako heads home in a HURRY. She doesn't get much pay for the movie and it flops at the box office with critics calling it lackluster and giving her acting terrible reviews. Ako DOES get a bump in fame though, when videos of the set issues go viral on SimTok.

Eager to put the whole incident behind her, Ako takes the family on a much needed vacation to Selvadorada. The sun, the jungle, the spicy food--Ako and Tatsuya are reminded of their engagement and wedding so many years ago. They bond over their appreciation for the life they have built together. Three wonderful girls raised, two successful careers and many many moves! The trip brings them closer than ever. The girls have a ton of fun too with zip lining, swimming, and trying new foods. Asa even brings back a souvenir...a hand carved lotus figure.

Back home the girls sit for their final exams. It's hard to believe it's almost the end of another school year! 

They've studied hard and are feeling great about their finals but when a fire drill forces the whole school outside in a massive storm things go a little south for Asa.

She has always had a fear of storms and now her worst fears are realized when she is struck by lightning!!! Luckily, she is unharmed --- mostly! She sits for the rest of her art exam dazed and covered in soot then sneaks off to the gym before business class to clean up! 

Back home, the storm has brought some bad luck to Tatsuya as well. Convinced that he has been previously abducted by aliens Tatsuya runs outside to try to catch them on camera. Unfortunately, he WAS abducted and apparently, they liked him a lot because he is taken for a SECOND time.

Feeling like they've been cursed and desiring a change in scenery, they all pack up to visit Tatsuya's family back in Mt Komorebi. Ruka finds a new favorite ice cream flavor--matcha! While Asa attends the Festival of Youth and meets a childhood favorite,,,

Yamachan!!! She gets ALL the selfies and even does the famous Yamachan mountain pose with him. But when Ako starts to feel ill she worries that the curse is coming for her next!!

Following their vacation Tatsuya and the family go to Del Sol Valley for his final Starlight Awards Ceremony. He is honored with a lifetime achievement award and he announces, to the disappointment of his fans, that he is retiring from acting. Ako misses his speech because she is still feeling sickly and she realizes suddenly that she's brought a souvenir back from their jungle vacation too -- a BABY! 

She decides to visit Grand Duchess Afua before giving birth to her third child. Afua has taken to royal life well and is thriving as the Grand Duchess. She and Ako discuss the future and the baby and the girls. Afua starts to feel like maybe it's time for her to start a family as well. She's spent so much of her time learning to be a royal and thinking about what's the best thing for her people that she has put her personal life and wants on the backburner. She asks Ako if she should start dating. Ako tells her to go for it and reminds her that as long as she is happy, fulfillment can look like whatever she wants it to! 

Ruka ends up with enough credits to graduate early and opts to do so. She is the cheer captain, the valedictorian, and now an early graduate! Ako and Tatsuya couldn't be more proud of her. She uses her free time to get a job at the ThrifTea and volunteer in various places around the city. She has three scholarships to university but is undecided about what she wants to do from here. There are so many choices!! Should she follow in her parents footsteps and become a famous actress? Use her athletic skill and university scholarship to go professional in cheer? Or maybe explore robotics or archaeology! She decides to take some time to figure it out. Afterall...whats the rush?

Later that summer Jimin is born. Ako and Tatsuya's family finally feels fully complete. Tatsuya is ready to be a full time dad and both he and Ako can't wait to see what the future holds. Things are looking up again!
