After quarter of living at home quickly becomes a semester and Ruka starts to debate if she even wants to continue in the fall. Jihoon is doing his best to support her and she attends a few grief counseling sessions and calls the sadness hotline as well. Finally in the fall her family convinces her to return to the dorms. Jihoon accompanies her on his way back home to Mt Komorebi. Ruka makes him take a ton of photos with her before he leaves and asks him to call her AS SOON AS he touches down in Mt. Komorebi. Jihoon agrees and heads out.
The baby arrives and it's another girl! Afua names her Jawara in honor of her late sister and hopes that the gesture and the joy of a new princess will appease the people. It does but not for long. Afua knows that Lord Obi is not anywhere near ready to be the Grand Duke, let alone the king! She didn't work so hard to lose her place as the ruler of the kingdom! She decides to declare one of the girls as her heir interim so that she can continue to work towards having a little boy.
Still reeling from Jawaras death, the birth of her new child, and what she sees as a potential mutiny from the very people who installed her as queen in the first place Afua makes a descision.
A grand gathering is called in front of the palace and Afua and the King prepare to declare the new heir to the Dambale Palace and the Darong Dynasty.....
It's AMARA!! As the older twin (and the more responsible one) it just makes sense. Amara is crowned and declared and Afua feels the pressure is off...at least for now. A male heir would definitely help her secure her crown!
Back at university Ruka pours all her energy into soccer. Her team wins the tournament this year and while she wants to be happy about it she just finds herself bored. Nothing makes her happy anymore!!
She finds herself staring out the window all day long and just wanting to sleep. Life feels empty for her. Her counselor suggests she try some new things out to see if she can find some things that will bring her joy that WON'T remind her of Tatsuya.
So she and Jihoon plan a Spring Break trip to Bagford-on-Henley. They check out the local pubs...
Ruka even gets to spend some time with the animals! The cows are SO cute! But she still feels down. Grief is just so hard!
Jihoon returns to Mt. Komorebi and graduates with his degree in Computer Science. He immediately gers a job as a Computer Engineer at a large manufacturing plant in Mt. Komorebi.
Ruka participates in the Foxbury Spirit Day event where she is scouted by a professional soccer team! Could she really be a professional athlete? Ruka isn't sure. She's had her sights set on that Marine Biology career but at the same time...playing soccer is so fun. She starts to really think it over. At the end of term, she meets Jihoon for a weekend trip to Innisfree.
...and he PROPOSES!!! The whole family is excited for the two of them. Ruka and Asa decide to finish out their senior year of college at home helping out with Taeyang and Jimin. Though both boys are in school Ako seems happy for the company and is loving having all her kids at home again.
